From Atlanta, Jason relocated to Savannah, Georgia, where he collaborated with Creative Loafing, generating promotional marketing campaigns for local businesses. During his time at the publication, he was responsible for writing, producing, and directing television advertisements. Impressed with his innovative marketing strategies and creative writing, Adventure Radio Group hired Jason to generate advertising campaigns for such regional clients as Miller, Red-Bull, Captain Morgan, and Harley Davidson. Additionally, Jason was instrumental in producing several live concert events with national acts including Nickel Back, Saliva, and Pete Yorn.

Intent upon focusing on the directorial aspect of his career, Jason moved to Orlando, Florida. While in Orlando, Jason joined forces with PBS to produce and direct several segments for the show, New Florida. He also expanded his production and directorial credits into the music world via Nashville. He created music videos for Wilderness Records and completed several short films. In 2006, Jason teamed up with fellow Georgian Dave Edgerly to write the script Industrial Evil. The script became a hit, and in the spring of 2006, Jason and Dave signed on with production company Bruno White to make Industrial Evil into a feature film. Since signing on for that project, Jason’s career as a director has soared. He has produced/directed a pilot for Turner Television and currently has a national ad campaign featuring NBA greats Steve Nash, Carmelo Anthony and basketball legend Bobby Knight.

In addition to his directing credits, Jason co-authored the screenplay for the novel Micah’s Child. Also, after consulting with the president of Riverwood Studios in the spring of 2006, Jason and Michael Buchanan helped create the story for Treasure of the Four Lions, the tale of how three kids are helped by Civil War ghosts to find the lost gold of the Confederacy. This feature is in pre-production and is slated to start shooting in 2009 with Winn as director.

Beginning in the fall of 2008, Jason will work with screenplay writers Diane Lang and Michael Buchanan during film classes taught in Atlanta high schools. Students will learn all aspects of taking a film from its first ideas to post-production.
