Crew Biographies
Brandon Thompson is a young and Steadicam and free-lance camera operator based out of Atlanta, Georgia. He began his video career in high school when he learned to edit. He received his BBA in 2004 from Georgia State University. Since his college graduation, Brandon has continued to work in various forms of video production such as corporate videos, independent feature films, music videos and much more. Brandon excels at bringing tremendous production value to independent projects and continues to look for challenging collaborative work throughout the southeast and abroad.
Erika Eads holds a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Georgia State University. She enjoys working in independent film as an Assistant Director, and working in theater as a Stage Manager. Erika likes to watch films, read books and take photographs. She hopes to continue to work in film as an AD.
Wesley Summers is an editor and videographer in Atlanta and has been working in the field of video production since 2000. Wesley received his Bachelor’s of Science from East Carolina University and an Associate in Video Production from the Art Institute of Atlanta. He chose the field of video production because he enjoys the fact that the subject matter of what is being worked on is always changing from week to week. Plus he enjoys the challenges it presents as well as the reward of creating a good looking piece. One of his favorite quotes is “Victory is reserved for those willing to pay the price.” – Sun Tzu
To date Wesley has worked on various projects and his work has taken him on travels across America, Canada, and Kenya as well. Also whenever the time permits he enjoys working on personal creative projects with friends. Currently his next goal to undertake is starting his own successful video production and design company.
Jelani Johnson graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Telecommunications and Film. He started his career at Van Buren Cable Channel 12 creating community based programs and departmental promotions for Van Buren Township. He later relocated to Atlanta and began working for People TV Atlanta as a studio and equipment technician. Jelani then transitioned to CBS Atlanta News where he now holds the position of Chyron Hyper X operator. Jelani also does independent freelance documentary style productions as well.
Lawrence Sykkmon was born in China on November 25th, 1971. When he was 16, he moved to the United States with his family. He is fluent in both English and Chinese. He began acting in 1995 and has mostly worked in the Atlanta Market. He has been in commercials, industrials, and short and independent films. Currently he is working on his own short films and projects.
Jenna B. Blakeslee is currently a junior at Northview High School. She began her film career as an actress for a Michael Lines Junior Achievement marketing video during the summer of 2007. Since then she has been looking for film experience and recently joined Tin Roof Films as an intern. She’s very interested in a career in the film industry, and is hoping to attend film school come the fall of 2010. Hopefully there are more big jobs to come.
Lyttleton Capell, has been making films since 1994. He is an accomplished Director of Photography who has worked in all film formats from 35mm to High Definition Video. Lyt is an artist who has a passion for storytelling visually. The story is the most important element of any film and he strives to make the camera and lighting parts that add to a greater whole. His goal is to compliment the narrative with images that contribute to the continuing flow of the audience’s experience.
Lyt started his creative career as a painter, printmaker and sculptor. This fine arts training, in particular color, composition and light, gives an added dimension to his film work.
Lyt has gained proficiency with 35mm lens adapters to give HD video a 35mm film look. Utilizing these revolutionary devices Lyt can achieve a look on HD video that can stand side by side with big budget studio 35mm film productions.
In the 1990s Lyt worked exclusively on film. He was the DP on features such as “100 Proof” and “The Devil’s Cello.” He also made many short films. The short subject “In God We Trust” won the Bronze medal for best experimental short film at Worldfest West in 1998.
In the 2000s he has shot features such as the drama “A Bitter Kiss” and as second unit DP on the horror film “Lynch Mob” starring Tony Darrow of “Goodfellas” and “Sopranos.”
In the last two years Lyt worked on many different genres with projects such as the Vietnam War drama “Last Bullet”, the children’s show “The Fantastic World of Charles and Bill Peterson”, the science fiction film “Area 52”, the urban crime drama “The Prayer”, and the international comic book “Paula Peril” series of films. He has also branched out to narrative music videos, and commercials.
In 2007 Lyt began work on the 1960s period piece about Lee Harvey Oswald’s life before the assassination of JFK “LHO-63” which is soon to become a feature.
